AFIS Service Features
The AFIS service is a full fraud score and trace pattern application designed to detect fraudulent orders through a very sophisticated set of rules based on information from several public and private data base sets.
As with our FraudCall service the AFIS application uses a plain text or XML API to pass information to the VariLogiX services, we then process this information and return a value to your software.
We provide our users with a unique tuner interface that allows our customers to fine tune the AFIS settings based on their own business rule set, as an example some clients would want to allow signup's on their web site from customers who signup using an email from a free email address provider and others would not, the AFIS tuner allows them to adjust this setting and provides a threshold which accumulates a point base, this point base is then combined and calculated to provide a total fraud score along with over 25 other threshold settings.
AFIS receives, checks, calculates and provides reports on over 25 unique settings from within the AFIS Tuner.

AFIS also has the ability to listen to the default score as well as being smartly integrated, we call it a smart score however since the system is very proprietary we cant fill you in on how it does it or even any of its functions however what we can tell you is that if you are using AFIS default settings and follow our guidelines you can *say good buy to charge backs forever! *Because customers have the ability to go back to their credit card company and issue a charge back based on unsatisfactory service or non receipt of goods or services the fraud protection guarantee can not extend to this type of transaction, this service only covers legitimate charge backs based on a fraudster using a credit card of a non suspecting person meaning charge backs based on unrecognized charges.
