Dialing Rules

All calls that are dialed from the VariLogiX system, originate from the United States.

For all billing systems users the calls must be entered as if they were in the United States calling into their number making a long distance call, VariLogiX has built in a number of checking features, but we still rely on the customer to enter their correct phone number, in the correct format in order to receive the call. If the customer enters the incorrect format the call will not be processed, i.e.; too many digits, too few digits. In this case the FraudCall system will send the error to your billing system and your Fraud settings in your software will determine how to proceed with the order.

If you are a customer of VariLogiX and are selling to customers located out of the United States your customers still need to enter their phone number as if they were dialing from the United States since our system is dialing from a Telco within the United States. Most billing systems are pre-configured to strip out any numbers that are entered incorrectly, however we still rely on the customer to enter the correct number format.

Example:
Calling from VariLogiX System in United States to Customer in United Kingdom. UK

IDD Prefix (International Direct Dialing)
The IDD prefix is the international prefix needed to dial a call FROM the United States TO another country. This is followed by the country code for the country you are calling (see above). The IDD situation in many countries has been changing regularly.  Some countries have multiple IDDs, with each one used by a different long-distance carrier.

Country Code

The Country Code is the national prefix to be used when dialing TO that particular country FROM the United States. In some cases your customer will also need to enter a city or area code.
